Not a great fan of bottled beer. Bit of a traditional, real ale, IPA - bitter drinker. Prefer wine with my food.

Nice beer, aint had it in decades, but I suspect that the 'live' bit of the ale would make it illegal.

Oxford Gold is shite - brewed under license. The brewery has long since disappeared and now is a hotel du'vin. Gone are the days of extracting the water from their own well and the stories of when they didnt have a yeast bank and had to use Morrells yeast which meant the beer was shite for ages....
Brakspear is just a real estate business now and their best beer was Brakspear Special btw

No such thing as the Morland Brewery for quite some time I'm afraid. Greene King bought up Morland together with what was left of Ruddles and many lovely old buildings over 15 years ago. It was all closed. GK still knock out shite versions of the various Hen recipes from Bury St. Edmunds and slap the Morland logo on, but they are unrecognisably bland. Very sad. Don't get me started on Hardy Hanson, and it's a miracle GK gave Harveys a reprieve. They have been spending a fortune on marketing for the last decade trying to convince ale lovers that they aren't mercenary bastards who crush good breweries but have forgotten to make anything decent themselves - however it's branded.

Without wanting to come across as a pedant, it's Brakspear not Breakspear. Their Oxford Gold is lovely.

Dont forget its not just English Bottled beers but English bottled beer available in the States. My favourite British bottled beer I've seen over here has been London Pride, but I'd have to do a 100 mile round trip to get it. I like it, but not that much.
